How to Create and Save Chart Templates in MetaTrader 5 (MT5)

If you often use the same chart settings, indicators, and colors, creating templates in MetaTrader 5 saves time and ensures consistency across all your charts. Here’s how to set up and save templates in MT5.

Step 1: Customize Your Chart

First, set up your chart the way you like it:

• Choose your chart type (candlestick, bar, line).

• Apply your preferred color scheme.

• Add indicators, levels, and any custom settings.

Step 2: Save Your Template

• Right-click anywhere on the chart.

• Select Template → Save Template.

• Name your template (e.g., “My Strategy Setup”) and click Save.

Your template will now be available for future use.

Step 3: Apply a Saved Template to Another Chart

• Open a new chart in MT5.

• Right-click the chart and select Template → Load Template.

• Choose your saved template and click Open.

Step 4: Delete a Template (If Needed)

Navigate to the Templates folder on your computer:
