How to Download and Install MetaTrader 5 on Desktop

MetaTrader 5 (MT5) is available on Windows and Mac, giving you access to advanced trading tools on your desktop. Follow the steps below to download and install MT5 and start trading with GatesFX.

Step 1: Download MetaTrader 5

Visit the MetaTrader 5 Download Page.

• Choose the correct version for your operating system:

  • Windows (.exe)

  • Mac (.dmg)

Step 2: Run the Installer

• Windows:

  • Double-click the downloaded .exe file.

  • Click Run and follow the on-screen instructions.

  • Choose an installation folder and click Next.

• Mac:

  • Open the downloaded .dmg file.

  • Drag the MetaTrader 5 icon into your Applications folder.

Step 3: Launch MT5

• After installation, open MetaTrader 5 from your desktop or applications menu.

• The platform will load with a default workspace. You’re now ready to log in with your GatesFX credentials.
