How to Open a Demo Account on MetaTrader 5 (MT5)

Opening a demo account with GatesFX is quick and easy—no need to set it up manually inside MetaTrader 5. Everything can be done directly from your GatesFX Client Portal, and your account will be automatically linked to MT5 for immediate access.

Step 1: Log in to Your GatesFX Client Portal

Go to https://secure.gatesfx.com/login and enter your login credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to the Trade Accounts Section

From your dashboard menu, click Accounts and then select Create New Demo Account.

Step 3: Choose “Demo Account”

When prompted:

• Select MetaTrader 5 Demo as your account type.

• Pick your preferred account type.

Step 4: Configure Your Demo Account Settings

Fill in the following details:

• Leverage: Choose your desired leverage (up to 1:500).

• Base Currency: USD or EUR.

• Starting Balance: Select your virtual balance for practice trading.

Step 5: Retrieve Your Login Credentials
