How to View Trade History in MetaTrader 5 (MT5)

Your trade history provides a complete record of all closed positions, pending orders, and account transactions. Reviewing it regularly helps track performance and improve your trading strategy. Here’s how to view your trade history in MT5.

Step 1: Open the Toolbox or Trade Tab

  • On Desktop:

    • Press Ctrl+T or click View → Toolbox.

    • Select the History tab at the bottom.

  • On Mobile:

    • Tap History from the bottom menu.

Step 2: Filter Your Trade History

You can filter history by:

  • Date Range: Select Today, Last 3 Days, Last Month, or Custom Range.

  • Symbol: View trades for specific instruments.

  • Order Type: Closed trades, canceled orders, deposits, and withdrawals.

Step 3: Export Trade History (Desktop Only)

  • Right-click inside the History tab.

  • Choose Report → Select HTML or Excel format.

  • Save the file to your computer for record-keeping or analysis.

Step 4: Check Detailed Metrics

Your history includes:

  • Opening & closing prices

  • Profit/loss for each trade
