How to Open a Demo Account on MetaTrader 5 (MT5)
Opening a demo account with GatesFX is quick and easy—no need to set it up manually inside MetaTrader 5. Everything can be done directly from your GatesFX Client Portal, and your account will be automatically linked to MT5 for immediate access.
Step 1: Log in to Your GatesFX Client Portal
Go to https://secure.gatesfx.com/login and enter your login credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to the Trade Accounts Section
From your dashboard menu, click Accounts and then select Create New Demo Account.
Step 3: Choose “Demo Account”
When prompted:
Select MetaTrader 5 Demo as your account type.
Pick your preferred account type.
Step 4: Configure Your Demo Account Settings
Fill in the following details:
Leverage: Choose your desired leverage (up to 1:500).
Base Currency: USD or EUR.
Starting Balance: Select your virtual balance for practice trading.
Click Submit to create your demo account.
Step 5: Retrieve Your Login Credentials
Once the account is created:
Your login ID, password, and server details will appear on the screen and in your email.
Save these credentials—they are needed to log in to MT5.
Step 6: Log in to MT5
Open MetaTrader 5 on your desktop or mobile device and log in using:
The login ID and password provided in your dashboard.
The correct GatesFX server (Demo).
