How to Open a Live Trading Account with GatesFX
Opening a Live Trading Account with GatesFX, a fully regulated forex broker, is quick and seamless. Our development team has optimized the process so you can start trading with minimal steps. Follow this guide to get your account set up in minutes.
Step 1: Log in to Your Client Portal

Bookmark this link for easy access so you can log in anytime without typing the address repeatedly.
Step 2: Navigate to the Accounts Page
After logging in, you’ll land on your dashboard. From the left-hand menu, click on Accounts (the second option in the navigation panel).
Step 3: Click “Create New Account”
Locate and click the Create New Account button.
If you already have multiple accounts, you may need to scroll down to find it.
Important: If you have not completed your KYC Verification, the system will prompt you to do so before proceeding.
Step 4: Select Your Trading Platform
GatesFX offers flexibility with multiple trading platforms:
MetaTrader 5 (MT5)
TradeLocker
Choose your preferred platform and click Continue.
Step 5: Choose Your Account Type
If you’re unsure which account type is right for you, click HERE to review our detailed comparison of account types.
From the Account Type dropdown, select the option that best fits your trading needs.
Step 6: Select Your Base Currency
GatesFX supports USD and EUR for live trading accounts. This ensures traders can operate in their preferred currency without worrying about unnecessary conversions for deposits or withdrawals.
Step 7: Choose Your Leverage
Select your desired leverage from the dropdown menu.
GatesFX offers leverage options up to 1:1000 for most accounts.
For traders meeting specific capital requirements (minimum balance of $250,000), leverage up to 1:2000 may be available upon request. To apply for higher leverage, open a support ticket and request a call with our VIP Client Concierge team.
Step 8: Submit Your Application
Click Submit to finalize your new Live Trading Account.
Your account details (login credentials) will appear on-screen and will also be sent to your registered email address.
Save these credentials securely for future access.
